Will my horse be checked every day by Valcan Park staff?
Yes – every horse is checked every day by our staff – morning and night.
What do Valcan Park Agistment services include?
This includes feeding service morning and night and unlimited paddock grazing. Feed costs is the responsibility of the owner, although we will order &/or store feed for you.

Please keep in mind that we are not a “full service” agistment.

How many horses do you have per paddock?
1-2 horses per Paddock maximum
Can my regular vet or farrier still attend to my horse while it is at Valcan Park?
Yes, please make Valcan Park staff aware prior to a vet or farrier visit.
Can I provide my own feed or supplements for my horse?
Hard feeds and specialised supplements can be fed but must be paid for and made up by the owner with clear, written instructions. If the horse is on a particular feeding regime that cannot be changed to the park feed, clients are welcome to provide this but we do not give a discount for this, unless the horse is retired to the park on a long term basis.
What happens if my horse sustains an injury while on the park?
Any injuries sustained by any horse will be dealt with immediately by Valcan Park staff, with all efforts being made to contact the owner prior to any treatments being started. If we require to call for vet attendance, we will do this whether we can get hold of the client or not.
Can I visit my horse when it is at Valcan Park?
Owners are welcome to visit their horses between the hours of 7am to 7pm, any day of the year.

We encourage owners to visit regularly and participate in the rugging, feeding and general upkeep of their horses home. This includes cleaning up manure and cleaning troughs in their own paddock. Whilst we will always step in to help if the owner is unable to visit, we do love our owners to be a part of the process.

Do you provide a rugging service?
Yes, we are able to assist with rugging your horse if you are unable to visit and do it yourself. However, this is provided in a goodwill capacity only.

If your horse is difficult to rug, or you have specific rugging requirements that are beyond our ‘goodwill’ service, then you will need to visit and/or arrange rugging youself.
